Kaziranga: what to expect
Kaziranga National Park, on the floodplain of the Brahmaputra, is famous for the greater one-horned rhinoceros and holds a large proportion of the world's population. Elephants, wild buffalo, swamp deer and many birds also live here.
The park is open only in the dry season, and safaris are by jeep and, in places, elephant ride.
